SABOS 2005 Challenge Bead

Each January the President of SABOS chooses a special, unique or crazy bead for members to challenge themselves to create a piece of beautiful art work.

The 2005 Challenge Beads are in! Fresh from Tuscon, these strands were purchased by Rebekah Wills, a frequent contributor to Jewelry Crafts magazine.

This years Challenge Bead is a lovely burgundy freshwater pearl - shown below. They may be purchased by the strand for $3.00 at SABOS General Meetings. Purchases will be limited to one strand per person until everyone has had an opportunity to buy one.

What do you do with the Challenge Bead? Make anything you want and then bring it to the SABOS Party in May. There is only one rule - whatever you make must include the Challenge Bead.
